13.06 Following a call from HMCG, NCI conducted CCTV and optics search for cabin cruiser reportedly aground on Dawlish Warren at low tide.

16.30 ILB transported crewman from cruiser to the mariner and returned to boathouse
At 12.45 NCI Observed boys digging dangerously deep hole in sand and alerted Lifeguards who attended scene and spoke with boys.
At 13.05 The Boys partly filled the hole and left the scene.
At 12.49 A Call was received on Ch.65 from YBS confirming they were anchored opposite Watchtower with engine failure awaiting tow.
At 13.01 The Vessel taken under tow by ESC grey RIB towards Marina.
16:26 – NCI overheard a radio message about a possible fall from a cliff. NCI informed HMCG they had CCTV coverage of the area and will monitor situation.
16:43 ILB and CRT tasked, and arrived at scene. ,
17:03 Nothing was found, all assets stood down.
At 13.29hrs on the Thursday 5th March, our volunteers were contacted by His Majesty’s Coastguard (HMCG) for a repeated request to locate a missing buoy belonging to Trinity House. They were not sure whether the buoy was off station or not transmitting. Our watchkeepers were asked to locate the buoy.
Using our optics and critically our CCTV cameras which cover Sandy Bay, the team scanned the area. By using the existing latitude/longitude co-ordinates, they were able to plot the area of the last transmission and use that information to search the area needed. Also using their new electronic charts, they were able to work out a bearing from the camera.
At 13.38hrs the Range Safety Boat (RSB), DMS Cerne was contacted by HMCG on Ch.16 to help with the search.
At 13.45hrs the buoy was located by both our cameras and the RSB and NCI were stood down.
At 09.45 Following call from a Member of Public, HMCG asked NCI for visual on a windsurfer potentially in difficulty off Dawlish Warren.
At 9.55 Confirmed sighting but reported no concern for safety. NCI continued monitoring.
At 10.59 NCI Advised HMCG that the windsurfer was safely ashore.
13.20 Watchkeepers observed a deceased seal at water’s edge and contacted Harbour Master who will in turn advised EDDC.
