Woman in estuary on incoming tide

Wednesday 24th July at 15.40hrs our volunteer watchkeepers received a call from a member of the public who was concerned about woman on the mudflats in the estuary on an incoming tide.

Our duty team used our CCTV, which monitors the river and they identified the person from her description.

They kept monitoring the person until they reached dry ground and were safe.

This shows how the use of technology can assist us to keep “Eyes along the Coast”.
