We are delighted to be able to report that after a rigorous assessment of all our processes and procedures, our training programme, our logbook, and the observation of watchkeepers on watch in real time - NCI Exmouth (Station 13) has passed the assessment to retain our Declared Facility Status (DFS), which we first attained in 2000.
This means that we continue to operate as an authorised asset of HM Coastguard.
Sincere thanks to our excellent Assessor, who travelled from a different NCI region to put us through our paces.
We have to pass this assessment on an annual basis. It is rightly, challenging and exacting. The standards and expectations are high. Thanks are due to our management team, and to the whole crew, who have worked hard for this.
