The NCI Exmouth open day and official re-opening of the refurbished Lookout, went ahead today, Thankfully the rain held off until we had finished.
The ceremony started with a few songs from the Exmouth Shanty Men, followed by a notice from the Town Crier then Peter (Station Manager) thanked everyone for their contributions. Judi Spiers, our patron said a few words, before she and the Deputy Mayor Dianne Conduit cut the ribbon and officially opened the lookout. It concluded with a piper playing us out, and Judi and Dianne cutting the cake.
Then the heavens opened up.
The lookout was closed for January and a complete refurbishment, with new furniture and having the electrics replaced.
A big thank you to everyone that turned out, and to our volunteers that turned up to help. Special thanks to Roger our fundraiser who organised the day and made it the success it was.
