SPOT the Watchkeeper, the new mascot of NCI made his debut appearance at Exmouth with pupils of Rydon Primary School. He was very popular with the children and had to pose for many photos.
60 children from Rydon Primary School in Newton Abbot descended on the beach this week to learn about Recycling and Water Safety.
The day was organised by Devon Recycling. As part of the programme 3 volunteers from NCI Exmouth took 20 pupils at a time , to go through beach and water safety. Part of this was a tag game where they had to stand in the 'float to live' position until a rescuer freed them by throwing a ball. Much fun was had by all and volunteers were very impressed by the engagement of the children and the amount of learning they displayed as the session progressed.
