River Exe Regatta 2026
Notice is hereby given that as part of the River Exe Regatta there will be a windsurfing event taking place off the sea front over the 20th and 21st of June. Competitors will start and finish from the beach opposite Ocean Entertainment Venue by Carlton Hill Slipway. The course will be out at sea, but competitors will cross the navigation channel at the start and finish. A Safety boat will be shadowing the windsurfers. Vessels not taking part in this event are asked to keep clear of competitors within
this area during this event.

Notice is hereby given that the Starcross Fishing and Cruising Club pontoons will be removed for repair work between the 4th and 5th of June 2026.

Care should be taken when navigating around the area north of Starcross ferry pier as there will be single unlit piles inside of the hammer head. The south east pile will be lit with a double green navigation light. The remaining sections of the marina are not to be used until further notice.
Mariners are asked to proceed with caution in this area whilst this work is undertaken

Work to be carried out on Old Lifeboat Slipway 20/04/26 – 25/04/26
Please be advised that Teignmouth Marine Services will be carrying out remedial works to the Old Lifeboat Slipway, Queens Drive, Exmouth on behalf of East Devon District Council between 20th April 2026 and 25th April 2026.
There will be some minor disruption and reduced access to users during these times.
It is anticipated that the work will be completed prior to the Rowing Club Regatta which starts on 25th April. TMS are liaising directly with the Rowing Club over this matter.

Exmouth Rowing Club Regatta, The Langstone Approach
Notice is hereby given that Exmouth Rowing Club Regatta will be running ‘The Langstone Approach Regatta’ on the 25th April 2026.
Type of craft taking part: Coastal Rowing Boats (quads, doubles and singles) and accompany RIBs and light vessels acting as safety boats (x3).
Start times: First race starts at 10:00hrs and final race is expected the finish at approximately 16:30hrs. Race start times are as follows;
Race 1 – 10:00hrs, Race 2 -11:15hrs, Race 3 – 12:30hrs Race 4 – 14:15hrs, Race 5 – 15:30hrs. All races are expected to take approximately 45mins.
Numbers taking part: In each race they anticipate between 10-20 boats involving a mixture of quads, doubles and singles. Each race will be assisted by 3 RIBs and light vessels acting as safety boats.
Course: 3 courses; a 2-3K course, 4K course and 6K course. All courses will start from an orange marker buoy a short distance south of Exe Red Buoy 10 and use the deep-water channel. The 2-3K course will turn at Exe Green Buoy 3 and return up the channel to the start/finish line. The 4K course will turn at the Exe SWB/Fairway Buoy and return up the channel to the start/finish line. The 6K course will turn at Exe Red Buoy 2, to an Orange Marker Buoy at 50° 35.89’N, 03° 24.40’W (in the direction of Langstone Rock, Dawlish), then a short distance to a Yellow Marker Buoy at 50° 35.84’N, 03° 24.30’W, then to the Exe SWB/Fairway Buoy and return up the channel to the start/finish line.
